HOW IT ALL BEGAN
A man, who Alana only knew as "Bookhout", walks into a room. Her eyes were glued to his calves. He got her number, they kissed on the first date...
And, unbeknownst to each other, both called home to tell their parents that they had just met "the one.”
Nowadays, you can find us carpooling our boys to and from all the things, chasing chickens, navigating raising a teenAGER, and sip’n lattes while we work to bring you the best marriage tips. There’s probably A GOOD AMOUNT OF butt-grabbing going on too. SEE BELOW lol
If you had told us, way back when, that we would be shampooing a chicken’s butt together in our kitchen sink on a Friday night, we would have said, “who wouldn’t wanna do that!?” But for real. We would have never had that on our radar, but here we are. Living way out in the middle of nowhere- 20 min from the nearest flashing light. Raising two boys, lots of cats, dogs and chickens.
From a miserable corporate job to a “pyramid scheme” gone right, we are living our best life out here on our little piece of paradise. Finally obeying the prompting God put on our hearts so many years ago- Marriage Ministry.

While he's competing, Alana miscarries their second baby, but is able to cheer him on at the finish line.
THIS PHOTO SHOWS THE MOMENT ALANA CONGRATULATES DUSTIN, BUT CHOOSES NOT TO TELL HIM THE NEWS UNTIL LATER THAT NIGHT.
ALANA SUFFERS FROM HYPEREMESIS GRAVIDARUM WITH HER THIRD PREGNANCY.
Hospitalized for five weeks, doctors suggest aborting in order to save her life. But, God prevails.

DUSTIN QUITS HIS CORPORATE JOB AND COMES HOME FULL TIME TO WORK ALONGSIDE ALANA. THANK YOU "PYRAMID SCHEME" ;-)
After years of financial struggle, God blesses the socks off of their MLM business, and their dream of a family vacation at Disney World comes true!
